Cleret Gel:

Cleret Gel is a unique blend of Clindamycin Phosphate, a water-soluble antibiotic, and Tretinoin, a retinoid. Clindamycin inhibits bacterial protein synthesis, while Tretinoin decreases microcomedo formation and promotes follicular cell turnover.

Composition:

Each gram contains:

• Clindamycin Phosphate 1.20% w/w
• Tretinoin 0.0259% w/w

Indications:

Primarily for topical treatment of acne vulgaris in patients aged 12 years and older.

Pharmacokinetics:

Cleret Gel shows minimal percutaneous absorption of Tretinoin. Plasma concentrations for Tretinoin generally range from 1.0 to 1.6 ng/mL, while Clindamycin concentrations usually stay below 3.5 ng/mL.

Dosage and Administration:

Apply a peasized amount at bedtime to the affected areas, gently spreading over the entire face. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, nose angles, and mucous membranes.

Contraindications:

Avoid use in patients with regional enteritis, ulcerative colitis, or a history of antibiotic-associated colitis.

Warnings and Precautions:

Discontinue Cleret Gel if significant diarrhea occurs. Use sunscreen during treatment due to increased skin sensitivity to sunlight.

Adverse Reactions:

Common reactions include nasopharyngitis, dry skin, and local skin reactions like erythema, scaling, itching, burning, and stinging.

Drug Interactions:

Use medicated soaps or cosmetics with strong drying effects cautiously. Avoid concomitant use with erythromycin-containing products.
