Terizole (Itraconazole): Empowering Fungal Infection Combat with Trizole Antifungal Power

Composition:

Each Terizole capsule contains Itraconazole as film-coated pellets, ensuring effective treatment for a range of fungal infections.

Pharmacology:

Terizole (Itraconazole) functions as a triazole antifungal agent, inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, a critical component of fungal cell membranes.

Indications:

Terizole capsule treats various fungal infections, including onychomycosis, tinea cruris, and tinea corporis, tinea pedis/manus, pityriasis versicolor, oral candidiasis, vulvovaginal candidiasis, fungal keratitis, aspergillosis, candidosis, histoplasmosis, sporotrichosis, and blastomycosis.

Dosage and Administration:

Recommend specific dosages and durations for each type of infection, ranging from 7 days to 6 months, to ensure comprehensive treatment for various fungal conditions.

Contraindications:

Terizole capsule(Itraconazole) should not be administered to pregnant patients or women planning pregnancy, individuals with hypersensitivity to the drug, or those requiring concomitant use of certain medications metabolized by the cytochrome P4503A isoenzyme system (CYP3A4).

Adverse Effects:

While generally well-tolerated, common side effects may include elevated liver enzymes, gastrointestinal disturbances, rash, orthostatic hypotension, headache, and malaise, among others.

Precautions:

Regular monitoring of liver function is crucial, especially in patients with preexisting hepatic dysfunction or congestive heart failure. Patients taking other medications that may interact with Itraconazole should exercise caution.

Carcinogenesis and Mutagenesis:

At therapeutic dosage ranges, Itraconazole does not demonstrate carcinogenic or mutagenic potential.

Pregnancy and Nursing Mothers:

During pregnancy, only use Itraconazole if the benefit outweighs the potential risk; pregnant or nursing women should avoid its use as it is contraindicated.

Pediatric Use:

We have not established the safety and efficacy of Terizole capsule in pediatric patients, and we do not know the long-term effects.
