Composition:

•  Terbiderm Forte Tablets
• Each tablet contains Terbinafine 250mg (as Terbinafine HCI
  BP)

Properties:

•  Broadspectrum antifungal activity
•  Fungicidal and fungistatic effects
•  Targets dermatophytes, molds, and dimorphic fungi
•  Interferes with fungal sterol biosynthesis
• Inhibits squalene epoxidase in fungal cell membrane
• Concentrates in skin, hair, and nails

Pharmacokinetics:

•  Peak plasma
  concentrations achieved within 2 hours
•  Moderately affected
  by food
•  Strong binding to
  plasma proteins (99%)
•  Rapid diffusion
  through the dermis and stratum corneum
•  Secreted in sebum,
  achieving high concentrations in hair follicles

Indications:

•  Fungal infections of

  pityriasis versicolor
