HAEMOLOK CAPSULES is a medication containing Tranexamic Acid, a
potent antifibrinolytic agent. This drug is available in both capsule and
injection forms, offering a versatile solution for various medical conditions
involving excessive bleeding
 Composition HAEMOLOK CAPSULES :
- Â Each capsule contains
Tranexamic Acid JP 250mg/500mg - Â Tranexamic Acid
inhibits the activation of plasminogen to plasmin, effectively controlling
fibrinolysis and preventing bleeding - Â It has excellent
bioavailability, with peak plasma concentrations occurring around 3 hours after
oral administration
 Indications:
HAEMOLOK is used for:
- Treatment of excessive bleeding due to systemic or local
hyperfibrinolysis, including conditions like epistaxis, hyphemia, and menorrhagia - Prophylaxis in patients with coagulopathy undergoing
surgical procedures - Hereditary angioneurotic edema
 Contraindications:
HAEMOLOK should not be administered to:
- Â Patients with a
history or risk of thrombosis - Â Patients with acquired
disturbances of color vision - Â Patients with active
thromboembolic diseases - Â Patients taking
hormonal contraceptive - Â Patients with a known
risk factor for QT interval prolongation
 Precautions:
- Â Use with caution in
patients with renal insufficiency - Â Be cautious in cases
of pronounced hematuria from the upper urinary tract - Â Monitor for side
effects like gastrointestinal symptoms, dizziness, reduced blood pressure, and
allergic skin reactions
 Dosage & Administration:

Adults typically take 250500mg 34 times daily, based on symptoms and age - Â HAEMOLOK Injection:
Adults usually receive 250500mg intravenously or intramuscularly once or twice
during and after an operation. Dosing may vary based on patient needs - Â Pediatric dosages are
adjusted based on weight and condition - Â Reduced doses are
recommended for patients with renal impairment
