Levocetirizine:
Cetfast tablets Each filmcoated tablet contains Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride  5mg
Cetfast tablets are formulated with Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride, providing rapid and long lasting antihistaminic action Levocetirizine is the active enantiomer of cetirizine, offering twice the affinity for H1receptors.
 Indications:
 Cetfast tablet is recommended for individuals aged 6 years and above  It effectively treats allergic conditions, including seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, allergic conjunctivitis, and chronic idiopathic urticaria
 Dosage:
- Â Adults and children above 12 years: A daily dose of 5mg
- Â Children aged 612 years: 5mg tablet should be administered in two divided doses
- Â Children aged 26 years: A daily dose of 25mg, divided into two doses
- Â Dosage adjustment based on renal function
 Pharmacodynamics:
- Â Cetfast tablet exhibits high selectivity as a peripheral H1 receptor antagonist
- Â It has a double affinity for H1 receptors, providing potent antihistaminic effects
- Â Faster onset and longer duration of action compared to cetirizine
 Contraindications:
- Hypersensitivity to Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride or related ingredients
- Â Patients experiencing hypersensitivity reactions should discontinue treatment
- Common side effects include tiredness, headache, somnolence, agitation, dry mouth, and constipation Side effects are mostly mild to moderate
