Clinical Pharmacology:
 Mechanism of Action: Fexofenadine Hydrochloride is a selective peripheral H1receptor antagonist, effectively countering histamine’s allergic response
It has linear pharmacokinetics for doses up to 120mg twice daily and an elimination half-life of 14.4 hours. Approximately 80% is recovered in feces and 11% in urine, with minimal metabolism. It does not cross the blood brain barrier
 Special Populations: Age, renal, and hepatic factors can impact pharmacokinetics. Older adults may experience higher peak plasma levels. Renal impairment prolongs half-life, while hepatic impairment impacts metabolism
