 Composition for Targeted Relief:
- Â Valisone Cream/Ointment: Each gram contains 0.064% Betamethasone Dipropionate (USP)
- Â Valisone Lotion: Each ml contains 0.064% Betamethasone Dipropionate (USP) and 0.05% Salicylic Acid
(USP)
 Clinical Action:
Betamethasone Dipropionate, a fluorinated corticosteroid, exhibits anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive effects. Salicylic Acid acts as a keratolytic agent, while Clotrimazole provides antifungal activity against dermatophytes
 Indications & Usage:
- Valisone Cream/Ointment: Ideal for managing inflammatory manifestations of psoriasis and corticosteroid responsive dermatoses
- Valisone Ointment/Lotion: Provides relief from subacute/chronic hyperkeratotic and dry dermatoses, including conditions like psoriasis, chronic atopic dermatitis, lichen planus, and more
- ValisoneC Lotion: Suitable for psoriasis, corticosteroid responsive dermatoses, and various fungal skin infections caused by dermatophytes, yeasts, molds, and other fungi
- ValisoneG Cream: Effective for psoriasis and corticosteroid responsive dermatoses complicated by secondary infections susceptible to Gentamicin
 Dosage & Administration:
Apply a thin film of Valisone preparations to cover the affected area twice daily—morning and night. Discontinue if the condition is controlled for more than four weeks without reevaluation. Avoid occlusive dressings and ophthalmic use
 Precautions:
- Â Avoid prolonged use, especially in infants and children
- Â Be cautious during pregnancy
- Â Discontinue if hypersensitivity reactions occur
- Â Not intended for use under occlusive dressing
- Â Monitor for signs of HPA axis suppression
 Adverse Reactions:
Mild to moderate transient burning, dry skin, secondary infections, itching, folliculitis, skin atrophy, and more have been reported. Salicylic Acid may cause symptoms of salicylism
 Over dosage:
In case of HPA axis suppression, discontinue, reduce application frequency, or switch to a weaker steroid. Supplementary systemic corticosteroids may be needed for steroid withdrawal symptoms
 Storage:
- Protect from direct sunlight, and keep out of children’s reach
