 Composition:
 Each Beta-F Cream gram contains Betamethasone (as Betamethasone Valerate BP)  1 mg (0.1% w/w)
 Fusidic Acid BP  20 mg (2% w/w)
 Pharmacological Properties
 Mechanism of Action:
 Betamethasone: It exerts anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive actions, inhibiting the adherence of immune cells to inflamed areas
 Fusidic Acid: A potent topical antibacterial that blocks protein synthesis in bacteria, effective against a wide range of pathogens, especially Staphylococci
 Indications
 Beta-F combines the anti-inflammatory effects of betamethasone with the antibacterial action of fusidic acid, making it suitable for treating:
- Â eczematous dermatoses, including atopic, infantile, discoid, and stasis eczema
- Â Psoriasis
- Â Neurodermatosis (e.g., lichen simplex, lichen planus).
- Â Seborrhoeic dermatitis
- Â Prurigo
- Â Intertrigo
- Â Bacterial infections confirmed or suspected
 Dosage and Administration
 Apply a small quantity of BetaF Cream to the affected area twice daily until a satisfactory response is achieved. Treatment typically lasts up to 2 weeks, and occlusion with polyethylene film can enhance effectiveness in resistant lesions
 Pharmacokinetics
 The absorption and metabolism of betamethasone are influenced by factors such as skin condition and application site. Fusidic acid is primarily excreted in the bile and minimally in the urine. There is no defined pharmacokinetic data for Beta-F following topical administration in humans
 Contraindications
 Avoid Beta-F Cream if there is known hypersensitivity to betamethasone valerate or fusidic acid/sodium fusidate
 Adverse Effects
 The application of Beta-F Cream may cause localized adverse effects such as burning, stinging, dry skin, pruritus, and irritation. While occlusion can enhance the cream’s effectiveness, it’s crucial to be cautious about potential side effects
 Storage:
Store Beta-F Cream below 30°C, protected from light, heat, and moisture. Keep it out of the reach of children
